North County Times, November 20, 2011

VISTA – A person was cited on suspicion of selling tobacco to a minor during an undercover operation Saturday, authorities said. Juveniles working with San Diego County sheriff’s deputies tried to buy tobacco products at 34 randomly selected businesses in Vista between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., a detective said. A clerk at the Foothill Chevron gas station, 1211E. Vista Way, sold cigarettes to a minor, the detective said. Deputies ticketed and released the clerk. The clerk’s name was not released.
