UC Goes SmokeFree!

January 9, 2012

University of California President Mark Yudof announces all UC campuses will go smoke free. Smoke free policies will be implemented over the next 2 year at all 10 UC campuses.

Smoke free means that smoking, the use of smokeless tobacco products, and the use of unregulated nicotine products (e.g. “e-cigarettes”) will be strictly prohibited in all indoor and outdoor spaces, including parking lots, private residence spaces and Medical Center campuses. The sale and advertising of tobacco products will also be prohibited in all UC owned or occupied buildings.
