Governor Gavin Newsom signed Senate Bill 1230 into which will increase the civil penalties for selling or providing a tobacco product to anyone under 21. It also authorizes the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration to seize and destroy flavored tobacco products or tobacco product flavor enhancers at any retail location.
